P4600 Series SCR Battery Charger

The Trystar P4600 Series delivers reliable DC power in utility, power generation, and other critical, large-scale industrial environments. Microprocessor-controlled industrial rectifier/battery chargers convert AC to DC using Silicon Controlled Rectifiers (SCR) to regulate output and ensure battery backup systems protect high-value assets. The P4600 is designed to provide up to 750VDC, crucial for massive battery banks, and 3000A for fast charging, with flexibility to choose between single-phase or three-phase configurations. Advanced communications include a user-friendly touch screen that enables full system access, while integrated monitoring, data logging, and battery maintenance tools reduce operational costs.

Features

  • Microprocessor-controlled Rectifier – Maintains stable charger performance and optimal charging conditions to extend battery life and ensure reliable backup power, automatically adjusting battery status without manual intervention or guesswork.
  • Touch-Screen User Interface – Simplifies configuration and troubleshooting with user-friendly menus for adjusting settings, scheduling alarms, and easily checking system status, speeding training time for maintenance personnel.
  • Advanced Battery Monitoring – Supports battery reliability by detecting battery problems before they cause failures with comprehensive diagnostics that track health trends, alert to weak cells, and provide early warning of conditions that could compromise backup capacity.
  • Integrated Automation Tools – Automatically handle routine battery care, equalize modes, log data, and automate routine tests to maintain peak performance and free technicians from repetitive tasks.
  • Advanced Monitoring & Communications – Seamlessly integrate into existing monitoring systems using Modbus, DNP3, TCP/IP, and IEC 61850 while providing direct browser-based access to charger data, eliminating site visits for routine checks and adjustments.
  • Protection and Alarm Capabilities – Comprehensive fault detection immediately alerts maintenance staff to potential problems, helping prevent battery damage and equipment failures, and extending asset lifespan.
  • Flexible Input/Output Configurations – Works with existing facility power without requiring expensive electrical upgrades while minimizing harmonic distortion that can interfere with other equipment, accommodating diverse site requirements and utility power quality standards.
  • Rugged Mechanical Design – Built for industrial environments with durable construction that withstands demanding conditions, with natural or forced-air cooling, and seismic ratings for high-risk areas.
