P600 Switchmode Hot Swap

The Trystar P600 Switchmode Hot Swap is a modular, high-frequency switchmode charging system with hot-swappable rectifiers that deliver compact, reliable DC power for critical backup applications. Switchmode rectifiers convert AC to DC using compact high-frequency modules that are smaller and more efficient than traditional transformer-based chargers. Available as individual modules or integrated systems, the P600 supports multiple DC output voltages and Hot-Swap or EZ-Swap configurations. With high availability, unity power factor, low THDi, and broad communication capabilities, the P600 provides reliable, scalable, and clean DC power suitable for modern battery technologies.

Features

  • Modular Power Architecture – Hot-swappable rectifier modules allow replacement without system shutdown, and support incremental capacity additions as loads and requirements grow, protecting initial investment and minimizing downtime for maintenance.
  • Hot-Swap & EZ-Swap Capability – Plug-and-play design allows technicians to swap rectifier modules in minutes without tools or specialized training, keeping systems running during repairs and eliminating extended outages for component replacement.
  • High Efficiency & Clean Power – Draws clean power from the utility with minimal harmonic distortion (THDi), reducing electrical infrastructure costs through smaller upstream breakers and wiring while helping prevent interference with other facility equipment.
  • Advanced Battery Compatibility – Works with multiple battery chemistries, including Lead Acid, Ni-Cd, and Li-ion batteries, with CAN-bus communications for real-time monitoring and precise control that maximizes battery performance and safety.
  • Low Ripple Output – Inherently low AC ripple is smooth and steady, extending battery life, reducing battery overheating and stress that accelerates aging, while protecting sensitive loads from dynamic DC voltage swings.
  • Redundant Configurations (N+1 or N+X) – Built-in redundancy maintains full power capacity even when one or multiple rectifier modules fail, ensuring uninterrupted operation of mission-critical loads and allowing scheduled maintenance without taking the system offline.
  • Robust Monitoring & Alerts – LED status indicators, alarms, metering, and optional communication protocols provide instant status at the panel, notifications, and detailed performance data through multiple interfaces, helping detect problems before they cause failures.
  • Small Footprint & High-Power Density – Delivers 200A at 125Vdc in a compact 19-inch/5U rack space, maximizing power in minimal footprint for space-constrained equipment rooms. Sub-racks can be connected in parallel to fit future requirements.
